Three doors, in order
Door one is donation. A clean, structurally sound mattress under roughly eight to ten years old can furnish a home for a family leaving a shelter, and local charity partners take these first. Door two is recycling: steel springs become scrap steel, foam becomes carpet padding, wood becomes mulch, and most of a mattress by weight can be recovered where facilities operate. Door three is compliant disposal, and it only opens when the first two are closed.
The part most companies skip
The order above costs more to run than a straight landfill run. Donation requires condition checks and charity coordination. Recycling requires facility relationships and sometimes longer drives. We hold the customer price identical across all three outcomes so the routing decision is never contaminated by margin math, and so nobody on our side is ever tempted to call a donatable mattress trash.
Partnerships with purpose
